Forum Sinfonietta Ensemble

On the fringe of the more traditional orchestral formations, the Forum Sinfonietta Ensemble has, since its creation in 1997, confirmed its musical vocation: an ensemble of variable size capable of performing to the highest level repertoire that spans chamber music to the symphonic output, and open to all young, professional graduates from the Paris and Lyon Conservatoires.
A real musical ‘forum’ by way of ideas and talent, the ensemble continually develops a practical approach to orchestral playing based on quality and pleasure, as well as a strong artistic and technical support for the young players.
Through the opportunities available for exchanging ideas and the choice of initiatives and programmes, the Forum Sinfonietta Ensemble constantly enlarges its artistic horizons which are steeped in a human element found at the heart of its varying projects. Alternating concerts for audiences of all types, educational projects aimed at young people, courses, and first recordings of new works, the diversity of the professional work  undertaken by the Forum Sinfonietta confirms the success and the ever-growing development of its cultural projects.

Opera Residence
www.sedieres.fr

The Sédières Festival is a place of musical and theatrical creation, which offers young international opera  singers the opportunity to participate in an original operatic project. The opera performances have concluded the music festival since 1999. This three week opera residence, held in a site of great natural beauty, gathers all the actors of the productions: singers, musicians, chorus-singers and technicians who   create all the decorations, costumes and lighting on site, providing the ideal conditions for a shared work of artistic quality.
The project has become extremely popular and is sold out months in advance. The Chateau’s barn, restored and adapted for operatic performances, with the construction of an orchestra pit in 2005, has housed up to 12 operas from the main repertoire.
Tosca (2009), Il Barbiere di Siviglia (2010), Die Entfürung aus dem Serail (2011).

The label Explora was undertaken in 2002 in order to enhance the artistic action of Forum Sinfonietta Ensemble with young professional musicians.
These recordings bear witness to an original concept with great potential revolving around eclectism and the discovery of novel musical horizons, including little-known repertories and world premieres, young soloists or composers, and partnerships with other instrumental or vocal organisations.
As the living heritage of the orchestra, each CD, by virtue of its stringent technical and artistic standards, is an essential auxiliary tool fully contributing to furthering motivation and enthusiasm on the part of all the participants, musicians and partner involved.
Explora Concept is distributed in Europe by Integral Distribution
